Archive relocation
Document archives for law firms, accounting and institutions. We move them preserving order, confidentiality and traceability.
An archive move is not just carrying boxes. What matters most is keeping documents in order, confidential and findable at any time. ELP Baltics relocates archives by indexing boxes, using sealable packaging and recording chain-of-custody for every stage. We work with law firms, accounting companies, public institutions, banks and healthcare — wherever GDPR and document security are critical.
What an archive move covers
Standard project — one organisation's archive, 1–3 working days. Everything is documented for traceability.
Indexing
Each box gets a unique number and content description — the archive is rebuilt in the same order at the new site.
Sealed packaging
We use sealable boxes and containers so documents travel unopened and protected.
Chain-of-custody
We record who handed over and received which boxes, when — with acceptance reports for each stage.
Racks and cabinets
We dismantle and reassemble archive racks, mobile shelving (compactus) and document cabinets.
Confidentiality / GDPR
Team NDA, personal-data protection, work under your internal security requirements.
Heavy safes and filing units
Heavy filing units and safes lifted up stairs with the Zonzini Domino Lift robot up to 800 kg.
Continuous access
We phase the move so daily access to frequently used files is not interrupted.
Destruction (optional)
Confidential destruction of obsolete documents via certified partners with a certificate.

Indicative archive relocation prices
Final price depends on the number of boxes, racks and confidentiality requirements.
| Archive size | Team | Duration | Indicative price (excl. VAT) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small archive (up to 100 boxes) | 3–4 people + truck | 1 day | from €850 |
| Medium (100–400 boxes) | 4–6 people + 2 vehicles | 1–2 days | from €1 900 |
| Large (400+ boxes, compactus) | 6–8 people + 2–3 vehicles | 2–3 days | from €3 800 |
| Institution / bank archive | Per project | Per schedule | custom quote |
* Prices cover indexing, sealed packaging, transport up to 30 km and rebuild. Compactus dismantling, destruction and storage are separate lines.
How an archive move differs
An archive is not furniture — it is the organisation's memory and legal liability. During a move it is essential that no file is lost and the archive is rebuilt in exactly the same order. That is why we work with indexing: each box gets a number and we hand over an index table at the end.
The second critical factor is confidentiality. Documents often contain personal data or trade secrets, so we use sealed packaging, an NDA and a chain-of-custody protocol.
Continuous access to documents
If the archive is used daily, we phase the move so the most-needed files stay accessible throughout the project.
GDPR and destruction
Obsolete documents can be confidentially destroyed via certified partners with a destruction certificate — often a convenient moment to review retention periods.
